Andy Wilson, CPA and founder of Walnut Hill Productions, is a commercial songwriter and producer living in Nashville, TN specializing in country, pop, and children's music. His songwriting and production craft span many genres including country, pop, children's hip-hop, r&b, gospel, contemporary Christian, and worship. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Andy moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music which would take almost a decade to come to fruition in the form of Walnut Hill Productions.
After graduating from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in 1999 with an accounting degree, Andy moved to Music City. As with most aspiring musicians, Andy had to find a way to make a living while continuing to develop his passion for and gifting in music. In 2004, after five years working with two prestigious national public accounting firms, Andy accepted a position with a Nashville-based healthcare company where he worked until October of 2008 when he left to start Walnut Hill Productions.
Classically trained on piano starting at age five, Andy has always had an incredible ear for music and song crafting. He began writing and producing songs in junior high school with four tracks and keyboard sequencers. He decided to learn guitar to spur additional musical creativity while in college. After moving to Nashville, he began leading worship in 2001 at West End Community Church in Nashville and began writing children's music for an inner city vacation Bible School program called Summer Jam. He has written hundreds of country tunes and countless songs that encourage kids to make wise choices and teach Biblical values. He also writes customized songs to fit the needs of specific organizations.
Currently, Andy lives in the Green Hills area of Nashville, TN with his wife, Brooke, and their son, Caleb, who was born in May of 2008 and might just be the cutest little boy ever.
